Who we areThe home of commerce and culture
Nine Nine Africa is a media and commerce property of Artive, wholly owned by Artive Ventures, and one of two divisions under the Nine Nine Africa name: this one, and The Fund, our investment arm. We own the connection to culture the way a diversified media company owns its properties: reporting, charts, events, playlists, podcasts, and ticketing, under one name, pointed at one continent.
Everything here starts from the same question: what is actually happening in culture across Africa right now, not what gets imported and relabelled.
That shows up as reporting across five pillars, weighted-blend music charts computed from curated playlists rather than copied from anyone else, a gig guide pulling from the continent’s ticketing platforms, a home for the playlists we curate, and ticketing for the events we host and the organizers we work with directly.
We are built the way a modern culture company is built: a portfolio of properties under one name, the way WME Group or similar groups hold media, talent, and events together. Nine Nine Africa is that structure, aimed at Africa, starting in South Africa.
